Situated at 2,000 m above sea level on the foothills of the
Himalayas is India's premier research and training institute on administration and public policy, the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration. The institute is an interesting confluence of academic rigor and intellectual freedom where participants from every state of India with diverse qualifications and socio-educational backgrounds meet, interact and learn from one another.
To supplement its training needs, the Academy has a wide range of facilities which include spacious and well equipped lecture rooms, conference halls, auditoriums, mess, hostel, sports complex, dispensary, reprographic unit, bank, post office, EPABX, computer lab with LAN and internet. The Gandhi Smriti Library is one of the best equipped and managed libraries in the country. It has a collection of around 15,0000 books and volumes of Journals.
