Lakhimpur Post Graduate Training College was established in 1976 and is affiliated to the
University of Dibrugarh. It is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education. The syllabus includes Educational Psychology, Secondary Education and the Teacher, Educational Statistics, School Organization and Management, Teaching of English, Teaching of General Science, Teaching of Social Studies, and Teaching of Mathematics.
