Lake Ganapati Temple




Lake Ganapati Temple is situated at Saras Baug, in Pune, Maharashtra. The temple was built by Madhav Rao Peshwa in 1774. The presiding deity here is Lord Ganesh. In olden days the temple was situated in the middle of a lake, hence the name Lake Ganapathi Temple.

The temple attracts large number of devotees.

Peshwe Park and Ganesh Murti Museum, located nearby, is worth visiting.
