Ladakh Ecological Development Group, also known as Ecology Center, was established in 1983 in
Leh District,
Jammu and Kashmir. Its mission is to promote ecologically sound economic development in the highlands of Ladakh.
The center initiates and promotes ecological development, which harmonies with traditional culture. Environmental and health education, publishing local language books, promoting organic farming are some of the activities of the organization.
