Lad Bazaar

Lad Bazaar is a shopper’s paradise, situated adjacent to the Charminar, one of the most famous monuments in India. It is one of the oldest shopping centers in Hyderabad, offering an amazing mix of the ancient and the modern articles for sale.

Lad Bazaar was founded by Ladli Begum, the wife of Mir Mehboob Ali Khan, the sixth Nizam of Hyderabad. It allures people in droves with its dazzling range of glass and lacquer bangles, pure pearls, gun metal showpieces, exotic hand-woven carpets, printed boutiques and some of the most inspired creations in silk. The place is also famous for its exclusive collection of dress materials, gold-coated articles and crockery.

The Mehboob Chowk, a quadrangle with an imposing tower in the middle, marks the end of the Lad Bazaar.
