Labaris are floating fish tanks kept by the fishermen of
Lakshadweep Islands. The fishermen keep live bait in the Labaris. They are really concerned about maintaining the live bait fish population for the tuna fishing. These labaris are also used for housing juvenile bait fish until they are full grown.
