L V Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) is a world-class eye hospital, research and training center situated at
Hyderabad, in
Andhra Pradesh. Established in 1987 by the ophthalmologist Dr Gullapalli N Rao, the institute is considered as an excellent center in eye care. L V Prasad Eye Institute is a World Health Organization collaborating centre for human resources developing eye health models for underserved areas of the developing world.
