Kyaghr Lake




Kyaghr is a small lake, located 10 km north of the Tso Morari Lake, in Leh District of Jammu and Kashmir. It is about 3 km long and 1.5 km wide with a maximum depth of 22 m. The water in this lake is brackish and is not good for human consumption.

Kyaghr is halting place for trekkers moving from the Kiangdum to the Tso Morari Lake. Kiangdum is a famous camping ground located 22 km south of the Kyaghr Lake, on the Ladakh-Spiti (in Himachal Pradesh) route.
