Kwayangra Bhagavathi Kshetra




Kwayangra Bhagavathi Kshetra is situated 2 km east of Trikarpur in Hosdurg taluk, a place in Kasargod District known for the Nityanandashram with 45 caves. The presiding deity is Punyakal Bhagavathi. Besides, the temple enshrines the idols of Aamutti Bhagavathi, Beeramar, Vishnu, Mecheri Chamundi, Pannikulatha Padinchar Chamundi, Kundara Chamundi and Arusulan Daiva Guligan.

The temple has one main sthanams (fit or proper place of god) with two gharbagudis (sanctum) and separate sthanams for Vishnumoorthi and Arusulan Daiva and gudi for Guligan.

Nearest local railhead, Trikarpur Railway Station is on the Payyanur-Nileswaram rail route. Mangalore Airport is 80 km away.
