Kutukutu is a traditional game played during
Onam in
Kerala. This game involves two groups who face each other in a rectangular field, which is divided into two equal parts. One person from one group advances from the middle line towards the opponent's area uttering 'Kutu Kutu' in one continuous breath and tries to touch the opponents. After touching he runs back to the central line without being caught. If he is caught or is out of breath before touching the central line, he is out of the game. This is continued until all the persons of one group is out and thus the former becomes the winner of the game.
