Kushol




Kushol is a scenic town located at a high altitude in Kargil District of Jammu and Kashmir. It is at an elevation of 14,904 ft from mean sea level. Kushol is a comfortable base for trekkers and mountaineers.

Abring is 4 km to the west, Linshot is 30 km in the north, Rulagung 22 km in the east and Hamiling 3 km to the south. The trekking path from Karsha passes through Kushol. Karsha Monastery and Zongkhul Monastery are some of the nearby attractions.

Kushol can be approached from Kargil as well as from Leh, by road. The nearest railhead is Jammu Tawi Railway Station, which is on the JammuPathankot line.
