Kurudumale




Kurudumale, associated with numerous legendary stories, is near Mulbagal and is one of the tourist destinations in Kolar District. The village is famous for a Ganesh Temple and a Someshwara Temple. Local legends say that the idol of Lord Ganesh in the Ganesh Temple was installed by the Hindu Trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. The Someshwara Temple ascribed to Chola period is like a stone fort built without using cement or water. Another point of interest, Kutadri Hill offers good climbing and adventure activities.

This village is 105 km from Bangalore and can be easily accessed from Mulbagal by road on the Bangalore-Kolar-Mulbagal Road.
