Surrounded by greenery, Kuravan and Kurathi Hills are legendary granite hills of the landlocked district,
Idukki. Legends say that these hills were a couple who were turned to rocks when cursed by
Lord Ram. The
Periyar flows in between these hills towards the west. The world famous Idukki Arch Dam is constructed across these hills.
