Kundal Temple




Kundal Temple is a Jain temple located about 4 km from Kirloskarvadi. The chief deity of this temple is Bhagwan Parshwanath. The black stone idol of the temple, measures about 160 cm in height. King Satyeshwar is said to have recovered from his illness by worshipping the idol at the Kundal Temple. It is believed that the king installed this enormous idol as a mark of respect. Situated on a beautiful hill, the temple is close to the Jhari Parshwanatha shrine. The water from a natural source keeps pouring on the idol of this temple. Jhari Parshwanatha Temple has idols of Bhagwan Parshwanatha and Goddess Padmavati. By road, Sangli is about 30 km from Kundal Temple. Kirloskarvadi Railway Station is the nearby railway station and the nearest airport is Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.
