Kumrahar




Kumrahar, an archeological site, is on the Kanjarbagh Road in Patna District. It is 8 km from Patna.

The excavations done here reveal that it was an ancient city of Pataliputra. Remnants of over a thousand years of four ruling periods from 600BC to 600AD were discovered. Prominent of the excavations is an 80 pillared massive hall, which is believed to have been built by Chandragupta Maurya.

Kumrahar is 5 km from Patna Junction Railway Station.
