Kumaun University, a residential cum affiliating university, is located in
Nainital. This State University has two campuses, namely, SSJ Campus,
Almora and DSB Campus, Nainital.
Around 41 colleges are affiliated to the university. The university has set up a separate Centre of Vocational Studies (CVS). It is a member of the Association of Indian Universities.
