Kumaraian Temple




Kumaraian Temple is situated at Melakodumalur, 24 km from Manamadurai in Ramanathapuram District, Tamil Nadu. The temple deity is Lord Subramanya, represented with a 6 foot high idol. The lord is seen in a standing posture under a tree. Javvaduppulavar and Nallamuthu Pillai have sung in this temple. Panguni Uthiram is the major festival celebrated here. Muppazha Tiruvizha is also celebrated in the Tamil month of Vaikasi (mid May - mid June). Bus and train services are frequently available from Manamadurai.
