Kuilapalayam is a small village located on the main road leading towards the beach in
Auroville. It is one of the famous trading centers in
Pondicherry. The village is noted for its little temples. The temples have brightly painted icons of
Kali,
Lord Ganesh and
Durga.
The people of Kuyilapalayam are backward in literacy. Kuilapalayam School Trust and Kuilapalayam Higher Secondary School are here.
Pondicherry Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
