Kudlu is a residential locale situated in
Kasargod District of
Kerala. It is about 4 km north of
Kasargod town.
The place is known as the venue of the famous eight day discourse that took place between Trivikrama Pandit (an Adwaita scholar) and Madhavacharya (a Dwaita philosopher), in presence of King Jayasimha of Kumbla. It resulted in the victory of Madhavacharya and the acceptance of Dwaita philosophy by Trivikrama Pandit.
A premier plantation crop research institute in Kerala, the Central Plantation Crops Research Institute (CPCRI), established in 1970 by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, is situated here.
Kudulu is well-connected with Koipady (in the east), Mangalpady (in the south-east) and Kumbla (in the north). Kasargod Railway Station serves the area.
