Kshipra Ganapathy Temple




Kshipra Ganapathy Temple is situated at Kalpathy (New) village in Palakkad District of Kerala. The presiding deity here is Lord Ganesh. The god is popularly known by the name Kshipra Prasada Ganapathy (fulfiller of wishes quickly). A Navagraha Shrine is also in the premises of this temple.

The idol of Ganesh is crimson in color, adorned with a tusk, wish yielding creeper, noose and hook in his four hands and a pot of jewels in his trunk. The entire icon is seen glowing like the Bandooka flower (4 o'clock flower).

Kalpathy is about 3 km from Palakkad. Palakkad Town Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
