Kshaid Dain Thlen Falls

Kshaid Dain Thlen Falls is a gentle and beautiful waterfall located near Cherrapunjee which is 56 km from Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya. It is believed that Thlen, a big monster, referred to as the personification of evil, was butchered there. Thlen is the Khasi name of Python. It was captured from the depths of a deep rocky crevice and was dragged to a wide flat rock near the waterfall. The deep scars on that flat rock where Thlen was butchered can be seen even today.
