An architectural gem, depicting the mastery of craftsmanship of yesteryears, Koyikkal Palace is located at
Nedumangad, 20 km east of
Thiruvananthapuram.
Built in 15th century on the traditional nalukettu style, it was the official residence of the ruler of ‘Perakatharvazhi’, a branch of the royal family of the erstwhile State of Travancore.
Presently it houses the Folklore Museum and Numismatics Museum.
