Kottancherry is a hill station located in Kasargod District of Kerala. The place, with its picturesque undulating landscape, mountains and hills, is ideal for trekking. Situated at an altitude of 4,000 ft above the sea level, Kottancherry shows great resemblance to the scenic beauty of the famous hill station of Kodaikanal.
Kottancherry is close to Konnakkad in Hosdurg taluk, about 30 km north-east of Kanhangad. Kanhangad Railway Station, on the Ernakulam-Mangalore line, serves the village. The nearest airports is Mangalore Airport.
