Koti Tirth

Koti Tirth, also spelt Kot Tirth, is a ceremonial tank with stone steps. It is situated within the ramparts of Kalinjar Fort, one of the eight famous forts built by Chandela kings, in Banda District.

A small Hanuman shrine and a well-preserved palace are situated close to this tank. The tirth is considered to be the largest of several water bodies in the region. The villagers and pilgrims still use its water.

Kalinjar is about 62 km from Banda and 78 km from Chitrakut.
