Kotappakonda Temple Fair is celebrated on the
Shivratri day. The fair is conducted in
Kotappakonda Temple at
Kotappakonda village near
Narasaraopet in
Guntur District.
Sweets, clothes, bangles, toys, bamboo articles, and domestic animals are sold during the Kotappakonda Temple Fair. People shave their heads as an offering to the deity. Lighted prabhas (lamps) are also carried by villagers as an offering to Lord Shiva. Lakhs of devotees join the festival with great enthusiasm and loyalty.
