Kotamma Gudi




Kotamma Gudi is a little village located 5 km off Mulakalacheruvu in Chittoor District. This village is famous for its temples.

Kotamma Temple is the major draw here. There are separate shrines for Nandi and Lord Hanuman. Forts, ponds and sculptural wealth are common characteristics of these village temples. A large number of devotees throng here to offer prayer services, along with elaborate rituals. During the main festival, the entire region reverberates with sound, light and color. The rural folk celebration, observed with pomp and splendor, lasts for many days.

By road, Kotamma Gudi is easily accessible from Somapalam and lies on the Dharmavaram - Pakala meter gauge line. Tirupati Airport is the nearest airport.
