Korba Thermal Power Station




Korba Thermal Power Station, one of the biggest thermal power stations in India, is a coal based power station situated at Jamanipali in Korba District.

The station has a total installed capacity of 540 MW. Coal for the power generation is taken from the Gevra Mines and water is taken from the Hasdeo River. The power generated from this power plant is consumed by Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa.
