Koqsar is celebrated by the Abujhmaria tribe of
Chhattisgarh. This festival is marked by the ritualistic meeting of young men and women.
All inhibition between both sexes is shed on this day. Many young persons choose their life partners during this festival. This occasion also celebrates the end of a long separation between lovers. A ceremonial dance involving both men and women is performed during the night.
