Kopsani is situated on the banks of Penganaga, near the Nanded-Yavatmal border, in Maharashtra. Dhanoda is the nearest settlement on the other side of the border, in Yavatmal District. Mahur lies north-east of Kopsani and Mahagaon is around 15 km west.
