Kopargaon

Kopargaon is a taluk headquarters situated on the banks of the Godavari, about 13 km to the north of Shirdi, in Ahmednagar District. It is 12 km from Vari and around 93 km from Ahmednagar - the district headquarters. Aurangabad lies 95 km towards the north-east. Loni, Bhandardara Dam, Umbrella Falls, Jayakwadi Bird Sanctuary and Kalasubai Harischandragad Wildlife Sanctuary are choice tourist destinations. Aurangabad Airport serves Kopargaon. Kopargaon Railway Station is on the Manmad-Daund rail route of Central Railways.
