Kollur Madhom is one of the six Potti madoms that are part of the
Ettara Yogam, who were the traditional custodians of the day to day management of the
Sree Padmanabha Temple, until the reign of Marthanda Varma. The madom is located at
Kannamoola,
Thiruvananthapuram. The madhom owned and managed a Devi temple as well as a Sastha temple in Kannamoola.
The members of the madhom were once considered some of the greatest tantris of Travancore. Copper plates dated A D 1139 have been discovered at the madhom, attesting to its historicity. The madhom even today holds rights to perform worship in the major temples of Thiruvananthapuram during festival time, a privilege that it had derived earlier in its days of pre-eminence.
