Mutt Ashram is a spiritual center situated at
Kolar, 75 km from
Bangalore in
Karnataka. This center is dedicated to the famous Telugu composer and writer Narayanappa (1730-1840), a bangle merchant who gave up worldly pleasures and went on to become a saint and a social reformer, living up to the age of 110 years.
Social and religious activities are also conducted by the
ashram. Mutt Ashram has a high school aided by the noted industrialist and educationist late M S Ramaiah and his family.
Visitors are served food free of charge. This spiritual center also provides accommodation at a nominal rate. Mass marriages are conducted by the ashram annually during June and December.
