Koiripur

Koiripur, also spelt as Koeripur, is on the National Highway 56, in Sultanpur District of Uttar Pradesh. Sultanpur is to the northwest of Koiripur.

It enshrines the temples of Lord Hanuman, Lord Ram and Sita. The bathing fair of Kartika Poornima, celebrated on the banks of the Gomti River, attracts thousands of devotees here. Another popular festival held here is Dussehra.

Koiripur is the birth place of Ram Naresh Tripathi, a famous poet and critic.

Koiripur Railway Station is served by the Northern Railways. Amausi is the nearest airport.
