Kodubale

Kodubale is a popular snack from the state of Karnataka. In Kannada, ‘kodu’ means horn (like that of a cow) and ‘bale’ means bangle. It is a tasty crispy snack that can be prepared easily, but needs some initial patience and effort. This deep fried, ring-shaped snack is made from rice flour, red chilli powder, cumin seeds, asafoetida, grated coconut, white sesame seeds, butter, and dried and crushed curry leaves. In Andhra Pradesh, Kodubale is popular as Chekkodeelu.
