Kodanda Rama Temple




Kodanda Rama temple is situated at Madurantgam in the Chennai District of Tamil Nadu. The temple is dedicated to Lord Ram. The temple is believed to about 1300 years old. The deity in this temple is known by the name Sri Kodanda Rama. In this particular region he is also called Eri Katha Rama (Savior of the village from floods). Lord Ram’s wife Goddess Sita is known in this temple as Sri Janaki Valli. Other deities in this temple are Lord Chakrathalwar, Lord Ramnuja, Lord Lakshmi Narasimha and Lord Hanuman.
