Established in 1901, Kodaikanal International School is an autonomous, Christian multi-cultural school with a co-educational program for pre-school to grade 12. The school is set high on the Palani hills of South India and it prepares students for entry into colleges and universities worldwide.
The school has two main campuses, one for the high school and middle school and the other for elementary school. There is strong provision for children with learning disabilities. For academic needs the school has libraries and study halls. The recreation and sporting needs of the students are accommodated by courts (basketball, indoor football, volleyball, and tennis), playing fields (football, cricket, rugby, and field hockey), play grounds, and a weight-lifting room. The school has music studios and a large art building to satisfy students in areas of art and music. Field trips are conducted. Individual care and attention is given for boarding students.
