Kittur Rani Channamma Residential School for Girls is located at
Bailhongal, in
Belgaum district,
Karnataka. It was established on September 17, 1969, in memory of Rani Channamma, the great queen of Kittur, who has won victory over British forces on 23rd October, 1824. The school is affiliated to Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board. Classes are offered up to the XII level. It mainly aims at the overall development of the student.
The school campus extends up to 200 acres with well equipped academic block, spacious playgrounds, a swimming pool, auditorium, gymnasium, and a 40 bedded hospital. Various extra-curricular and sports activities are also conducted.
