Kirat Sagar is located at Malakpura in
Mahoba District. Built between AD 1060 and 1100, this lake has fine
ghats with granite steps.
Bundelkhand's Kajli Mela is held here in August. A hill of red earth at the backdrop enhances its beauty. Some tombs are seen atop the hill. Alha's Batika, a roofless granite structure, is found beside this lake.
