Khondar is a town in
Allahabad District on the banks of the Tons river. It is around 37 km south of
Allahabad city.
To the west of Khondar lies Shankargarh, a remote township famous for its prehistoric cave paintings. Other places of interest include Tons River Aqueduct and Upardaha Lake.
Khondar has road links with Karchana, Bara, Naini and Allahabad. The nearest access points, Sirsa Railway Station and Varanasi Airport are 20 km and 115 km from here.
