Khiri

Khiri is a border town in Allahabad District in the southern part of Uttar Pradesh. It lies near the Madhya Pradesh State border. The district headquarters, Allahabad lies around 50 km north of Khiri.

A remote town, 27 km north-west of Khiri, Shankargarh is famous for its prehistoric cave paintings. Teonthar, a prominent town on the Madhya Pradesh side, is around 20 km from here.

Khiri is connected with National Highway 27 by a link road. Shankargarh Railway Station and Varanasi Airport are the nearest railway station and airport.
