Khemraj Shrikrishnadass publishing house was founded in 1871 at
Mumbai with the aim of publishing all extant Sanskrit and
Hindi works on different subjects. It has printed over 2,800 titles. The books are on different subjects such as philosophy, Indian mythology, the
Puranas, the
Ramayana and
Bhagavad Gita, classical Sanskrit literature, astrology,
Ayurveda and music.
