Khazangpina
A religious practice in Mizoram
Khazangpina is a religious practice existing among the Mizos. In this custom a pig or fowl is sacrificed for the well being of the family. It is performed when a member of the family is diseased or when the harvest is poor. After the sacrifice the meat is presented to the deity. There would be no priest to lead the sacrifice. The head of the family is the sacrificer and he would chant prayers for the well being of the family.
