Khazanchi Mohalla is a famous street located at
Almora, in
Uttaranchal. This place still retains the architectural splendor of yesteryears. Many of the buildings belong to historic periods and have remained unchanged over the ages. The literally meaning of ‘Khazanchi Mohalla’ is ‘treasure street.’ This place was used by the erstwhile rulers for storing the state treasures. Hence this street has been given this beautiful name.
