Khatam band is an ancient craft related to Kashmir woodwork. It comprises ceilings of rooms, made from thin panels of pine wood cut into geometrical designs. This craft is kept alive by the boat builders of Kashmir.
This artifact can be found in Khwaja Naqshband Shrine, near the Jama Masjid at Srinagar.
