Khamgaon

Khamgaon is a taluk headquarters town in Buldhana District, located on National Highway 6. Located to the north-east of Buldhana, Khamgaon is 15 km south of Jalam and 16 km south-west of Shegaon. Madakhed is 20 km north-west.

Khamgaon is a prominent center of cotton trade. Gajanan Maharaja Temple in Shegaon is an interesting tourist destination nearby.

Regular buses are available from Khamgaon Bus Station to Buldhana, Shegaon and Lonar. Khamgaon Railway Station is on the Nagpur-Mumbai rail route, of the Central Railways. Aurangabad Airport is the nearest airport.
