Khajla lies in the western part of Solan District, close to the district's border with Shimla District. It is around 2 km south of Kathiyana, 2 km west of Makri and 2 km north of Mather.

Arki and Nalagarh Fort are the nearest tourist spots. Shimla Airport and Shimla Railway Station are the main access points.
