Kedar Tal is a beautiful lake, situated 18 km from
Gangotri in
Uttarkashi District of
Uttaranchal. It is situated about 15,000 ft above sea level, against the visually stunning backdrop of the mighty Thalaiyasagar peak.
It is reachable through a rough mountain trail and is the base camp for the trekking expeditions to the surrounding peaks.
