Kavasseri Pooram

Kavasseri Pooram is the annual festival of Parakkad Bhagavathi Temple near Kavasseri in Malappuram District. Considered to be next best to Thrissur Pooram, this festival is held in the month of Meenam (March/April).

Procession led by decorated tuskers, fireworks and ezhunnallathu are the part of this festival. Traditional musical ensembles such as panchavadyam and thayambaka, pandimelam and sinkarimelam are other attractions.
