Kauakol is located at the southern tip of
Bihar close to the state’s border with
Jharkhand. This is a
taluk headquarters town in
Nawada District.
Kauakol is linked by road to the nearby towns of Qadirganj and Korwatanr. The district headquarters of Nawada is 34 km north-west.
Covered with dense wood, Kauakol is undoubtedly an ideal destination for picnickers. Other tourist spots outside the town include Satgawan Petro Falls and Kakolat Water Falls.
