Kattumavadi

Kattumavadi is a small coastal village on the shores of Palk Bay, about 27 km south-east of Aranthangi, in Pudukkottai District. Nakkudi lies 10 km north-west of Kattumavadi.

Avadayar Koil and the ancient fort at Aranthangi are places of tourist interest in the neighborhood. Kudumianmalai, Sittannavasal, Annavasal, Nartamalai, Viralimalai Peacock Sanctuary and Kodumbalur constitute short excursions within the district boundary.

Nearest airport is at Tiruchirapalli. Aranthangi Railway Station serves Kattumavadi.
